- This is a non-union short film that will be filmed in San Diego.
- This is a hybrid silent film, thus no script sides are available. Only those interested in the role of the Narrator will receive sides.
- Actors auditioning for roles will be required to mime/silently act our scenarios.
- Local Southern California Talent only. All actors must be 18 or older.
- Auditions will be held in mid-late September. Time/Date/Location To Be Announced.
- Filming is scheduled for the first two weekends in October and November. All locations are within San Diego County.

SYNOPSIS:
A teenage couple ventures out one night to see if there is any truth to the rumors about the urban legends surrounding an old haunted hospital and the crazed doctor that may still stalk the ruins...
Hospital Hill is a hybrid horror film that pays tribute to movies of the silent silver screen. Based on a poem, the final film will be presented in black & white, feature splashes of color and a haunting soundtrack, but all acting roles are silent. A narrator will guide viewers through the poem as events unfold on the screen.
LEAD ROLES:
Narrator - (Female - Middle Aged - Off Screen) - The Narrator guides the viewers through poem. A slow and haunting tone is required. Is this the voice of a victim past or an anonymous witness to the horror unfolding? This is the only role that will be provided with sides.
Nurse Malady - (Mid to Late 20's, Female) - She was a skilled OR Nurse when she fell in love with a gifted young surgeon. After "The Fall", when the others labeled him a madman and called in the authorities, she was the only one to stay by his side. Her once beautiful body is now covered with scars and implanted with experimental devices. Somewhere deep within her plastic heart she still feels love for the madman she met decades ago. Role will require a wearing 'sexy' gothic nurse uniform and special effects makeup. This character will be featured at our booth at Comic-Con 2009, so a dependable actress is required.
Cynthia - (Late Teens to Early 20's - Female) - A young teen girl who was lured up to Hospital Hill by her boyfriend. Her capture and surgical torture are well documented in this film. Must be capable of emoting pain and fear. Role requires implied medical nudity and special effects makeup.
SUPPORTING ROLES:
Brian - (Late Teens to Early 20's - Male) - This handsome young man thinks he's going to live forever. He loves riding and working on his bike. Cynthia is his girl, but he's the type of guy who would certainly leave her if somebody better came along. He thinks heβs always right and has the strength to back it up. He dies a swift and horrible death at the hands of Dr. Phobia. Will requires special effects makeup. 2 scenes.
Hallway Ghost - (Middle Aged Male or Female) - This unfortunate soul thought he was undergoing routine surgery. Little did he know Dr. Phobia was going to make him one of his first test subjects. Finally freed from his torture by death, his soul is now cursed to wander the halls of the hospital in the afterlife.Will requires special effects makeup. 1 scene.
Female Patient - (18+ - Female) - This patient is subjected to one of Dr. Phobia's routine procedures for new patients - an orbital exenteration - whereby the eye, the eyelid, the orbital muscles are removed with surgical precision. A blinded patient is far less likely to escape.Will requires special effects makeup. 1 scene.

We are ramping up for a new horror short. We need a few actors and actresses for this one. Auditions/Script Sides will be announced soon β will occur sometime in mid March. We will be
filming throughout April. Locations will be around San Diego, Fallbrook and possibly Los Angeles. Some pay plus copy/credit/meals for all roles.

Synopsis: A beautiful fashion model volunteers for an experimental weight loss program which turns out to be trap devised by an evil doctor who is searching for unwilling research subjects.

CASTING BREAKDOWN
DR. FOUGH - Male, 30's. Lead.
Best described as Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka of Plastic Surgery. Quirky, Intelligent, appears absent minded but is really always plotting something. He always enjoys educating his patients on his surgical procedures. He is the alter-ego / physical appearance of Dr. Phobia.
HEATHER - Female, 20's. Supporting.
A supermodel that only seems concerned about her looks and the money that they earn her. She has eagerly signed up for an experimental weight loss surgery in hopes of keeping her modeling contacts. She has chosen a double bacon cheeseburger as her last meal.
SUBJECT 280 - A female, 18 years or older. Extra.
She is held hostage in a medical prison cell while she screams her lungs out.
SUBJECT 118 - A female, 18 years or older. Extra, non-speaking.
A broken spirit, now she just sits in a corner sobbing. Has a large surgical scar running along her back. Partial rear nudity / special effects makeup required.
WAITRESS - Female, teens-20's. Extra.
Basically just checks on the customers.
KARISSA - Female, late teens. Supporting.
A slender, energetic girl who is eager to get weight-loss surgery even though she clearly doesn't need it.
MRS. GREEN- Female, heavy set, late 30's β 40's. Supporting.
A middle-aged woman who is struggling with her weight and decides to undergo an experimental medical procedure.
RESEARCH SUBJECTS β Several females needed as extras.
Will be briefly seen crying, screaming and pacing around isolation cells. Effects Makeup and Full/Partial Nudity Optional.

Description:
This is a non-union feature film. Production starts mid September 2006 on Fridays and Saturdays. All filming will be in and around San Diego County. Lead roles receive deferred pay, supporting/ extra roles receive copy/credit/meals.
All auditions and filming will occur in San Diego and San Diego County.
This film will be entered into international film festivals and released on a compilation DVD in 2007. The goal is to get exposure at the San Diego and Comic-Con festivals.
Running time: Approx. 20 minutes.
Rating: Both General Audience and Uncut versions will be made.

SYNOPSIS:
A young girl comes into the possession of a clown doll that seems to grant her every wish. While she is young and does not realize the consequences of her actions, mysterious deaths and events begin to take place around her. After being tormented in a mental institution for many years she is finally released to seek her revenge.

Casting Breakdown
Kelly (Adult) - Female, early 20s.
Kelly is the principle character. Kelly is average build, has lived her life in an out of mental institutions and rehab. She is haunted by constant nightmares of the murder of her parents. She usually speaks with a calm voice, but can speak with a deeper authoritative tone if needed. She is very reserved and rarely speaks of her wishes, wants and needs. Must be able to convey anger, frustration and depression.
Kelly Child - Female, 6-8.
A happy-go-lucky little girl who receives a special gift for Christmas. As any child her age she is niece and ignorant to the evils in the world. She dreams of being an acrobat and wishes it could rain chocolate.
Kelly (Teenager) - Female, 13-15. Non-Speaking.
Will appear in several flashback sequences as Kelly reflects on her childhood.
Shane (Adult) - Male, 50s to 60s.
The second principle character. Shane lives a comfortable middle-class life. Hes married and has two children. Hes ashamed of the way he treated Kelly when she was younger and is now deeply afraid of what shell do now that she is out of the hospital. The adult version of Shane has aged considerably more than his sister.
Shane (Child) - Male, 10-12.
Loves to tease his sister and steal her toys. Little does he know his actions will forever alter reality?
Crystal, The Witch - Female, 20s.
Driven by heartbreak and sadness, she indulges in the black hearts with only one desire: to bring constant sorrow to Kevin Robinson, the man who shattered her dreams and married another woman. Will require special effects makeup. Dies a horrible death.
Hospital Orderly - Male, 20s.
A nightshift employee who enjoys molesting and assaulting the patients in the psyche ward because he knows he can get away with it. Will require special effects makeup. Dies a horrible death.
Hospital Administrator - Male or Female, 50s to 60s.
A seasoned healthcare professional who is deeply troubled by the recent sting of mysterious deaths in the hospital. Shes tired of coming up with excuses to cover up the true nature of the events.
Security Guard Supervisor - Male, 40s to 50s.
An ex-private eye and seasoned security professional that has been working with the Administrator to cover up the long history of strange occurrences in the psyche ward.
Mr. Ridgecrest - Male, 30s.
Kelly & Shane's Father by day, a loving family man but by night, an abusive alcoholic. Dies a horrible and mysterious death. Will require special effects makeup. Dies a horrible and mysterious death.
Mrs. Ridgecrest - Female, 30s.
Kelly & Shane's Mother, a loving mother who always tucks her children in at night. Will require special effects makeup. Dies a horrible and mysterious death.

A deliveryman with a shady past.
